WOLLTROLL

The Wolltroll (also known as Wool Troll) is a spherical being made up of differently colored wool balls. The head always has the same color as the hands, and the belly and tail have the same color as the feet. Arms and legs are nowhere to be found.
It likes to hide in old cookie tins, along with grandma’s sewing and knitting utensils, which is not without risk. Some have been misused as pincushions. For this reason, Wolltrolls have grown a thick cotton padding.

The Wolltroll usually looks very grim because of its thick bushy eyebrows. Female Wolltrolls are nowhere to be found, with one exception: The Wolltrulla. She is the queen and can be recognized by her lack of eyebrows and beautiful long eyelashes.
According to legend, the Wolltrolls mined for gemstones together with garden gnomes until the legendary dispute occurred (but that’s another story). The curses uttered led to garden gnomes only being found petrified in front gardens, and every gemstone turning into a simple button as soon as it is touched by a Wolltroll. Nothing is known about the further fate of the Wolltrolls.
